2010 Workshops

This season I will be hosting a series of Soap Making Workshops at Evening Shade Farms. Due to an overwhelming response to our Life Skills Workshops, additional offerings are available that include organic gardening, preserving and canning food, goat husbandry, raising poultry, and other related topics. If you, or someone you know would be interested, please let us know as soon as possible and we will make every effort to schedule accordingly. 
 
SOAP MAKING 101 - Learn how to make all-natural Goat's Milk Soap using a traditional artisan folk method. This Workshop is very personalized. When you leave you will have gained practical, hands-on knowledge, and will feel confident in your soap-making skills. Please bring any soap-making reference books you've used as I've discovered that many of my students are getting bad information about the art of soap making. Wear comfortable clothing that can get dirty or bring an apron, a pair of safety glasses, and rubber gloves. Let me know if you have any questions.
 
Workshops begin at 10:00 a.m. with refreshments (Yummy homemade ones)  and finish at approximately 12:30 or 1:00 p.m. 
You will receive detailed soap-making instructions and recipe. Everyone will take home Goat's Milk Soap. 
 
All workshops are $45.00 per person. 
 
If you are interested please reserve your spot as soon as possible as these workshops fill up fast and are limited to 10. Don't be disappointed.
