Glycerin is vital to good skin care as it acts as a magnet to the moisture in the air drawing moisture to your skin. Evening Shade Farms' soaps contain all the glycerin that is created during the soap-making process. If you see glycerin listed as an ingredient on a label know that all the naturally occurring glycerin has been extracted and re-added in amounts deemed necessary to list as ingredient.
Our goat milk-based soaps contain only fresh unadulterated liquid milk. Be skeptical if a product contains processed goats milk. Using goat milk products made with dried or pasteurized milk compromises the skin- friendly enzymes and minerals so wonderful for good skin care.
The same scenario holds true with honey-enriched products. It can only be beneficial if raw honey is used. Pasteurized honey is much less effective because of the heating process necessary for pasteurizing.

During the soap-making process natural glycerin is created. The conditioning and moisturizing properties of glycerin are unsurpassable. Commercial soap manufacturers remove glycerin and sell it as a by-product. Our soaps contain all their glycerin. Because glycerin readily absorbs water from the air, it protects skin against dehydration, and helps skin maintain optional moisture balance.
We use no synthetics, dyes or perfumes. A combination of essential oils is blended into each formula for their healing properties and delightful fragrance.
The lather is dense and penetrative. These soaps are gentle and recommended for the most sensitive skin.
For a longer lasting bar, unwrap soap and leave in air 24 hours before use.
